Following their recent work with Swervedriver, Outer Battery Records is thrilled to announce the release of Loneliness For Sale, a brand-new EP from an exciting trans-European collaboration.

Starting as all great bands should, Nord Electric was born in 2022 from a deep and unmistakable love for music and football, following frequent discussions between Ride’s Mark Gardener (Oxford United) and guitarist Giulio Sangiraldi (Bologna FC).

Lending vocals to two tracks by Italian shoegaze veterans, Votiva Lux, the chemistry between Gardner and Sangiraldi was unquestionable, and a project soon required to extend their sonic journey further. Marking the beginning of an exciting new alliance between iconic voices of shoegaze, guitar pop, and alternative rock, Loneliness For Sale features four tracks that blend shimmering guitars, dreamlike textures, and rich vocals.

The addition of legendary drummer, Neil Conti (Prefab Sprout, David Bowie, Mick Jagger), proved to be the final piece in the puzzle. Lending an unmistakable groove to the proceedings on new single ‘Traces’, Nord Electric offer soaring and addictive attacks with choruses destined to rest in your head for days.

Loneliness for Sale will be pressed limited edition white vinyl, and an exclusive blue vinyl version (limited to 300 copies) online through Outer Battery Records here ahead of its official worldwide release on 12th September 2025.
